The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) team that is overseeing the "Loxahatchee Road Mobility Improvements Project" is inviting us for a community coffee chat Q&A session on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Parkland Library 6620 University Drive.
Monthly Update FDOT November 2024: The project is 34% complete. A portion of Lox Road between N University Drive and Parkside Drive is scheduled to open on December 6, 2024 - but in case of bad weather or other unforseen circumstances, it will re-open on December 13, 2024.
Construction started in October 2023 and is expected to be completed by early 2027. Entrances to the 55+ communities of The Falls at Parkland and Four Seasons at Parkland are affected. Motorists are requested to use alternate routes including Hillsboro Boulevard, N University Drive and Nob Hill.
